Two Killed in Chatra Road Accident, Truck Fire in Dumka

Chatra: Two men were killed and two others injured when a speeding car collided with a motorbike at Parsouni Chowk under Itkhori police station limits on Sunday night. The deceased, identified as Rishi Paswan and Abhishek Paswan, were returning from a relative's home on a motorcycle when a car coming from the opposite direction struck them. Both died on the spot.

Dumka Truck Fire

Dumka: A container truck laden with biscuits caught fire after coming into contact with an overhead high-tension wire near Kushchira Bypass under Gopikandar police station limits on Monday. The truck driver and his helper, Alam, escaped with minor burn injuries. Police reported that the truck was traveling from Raipur in Chhattisgarh to Siliguri in West Bengal.

Chatra Jail Inspection

Chatra: Deputy Commissioner Ravi Anand and Superintendent of Police Animesh Naithani conducted a surprise inspection at the Chatra divisional prison premises early Monday morning to assess security and inmate facilities. The jail houses over 350 inmates, many of whom are undertrials.

Ganja Seizure in Bokaro

Bokaro: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) seized 11.17 kg of ganja from a trolley bag at Bokaro Steel City Railway Station on Monday. The bag was found unattended between a general coach and a sleeper coach of the Bhubaneswar–Dhanbad Express, according to RPF officials.
