Kochi: A 15-year-old boy went missing in the sea off Kuzhuppilly beach on Sunday evening. The missing boy, identified as Athul, a resident of Vyttila, had visited the beach with three relatives. He reportedly disappeared while swimming around 6 pm.
Search Operations Underway
Personnel from the Munambam police and the coastal police conducted a joint search operation. However, the boy remained untraced at the time of reporting, with search efforts continuing late into the night.
Background of the Incident
Athul, a local of Vyttila, had gone to the beach with his relatives for an outing. The incident occurred around 6 pm when he was swimming and suddenly went missing. The family immediately alerted the authorities.
The police have deployed teams to scour the area, including using boats and divers. The search is ongoing, and officials are hopeful of locating the boy soon.
