In a tragic incident, residents of Koduvayur in Palakkad bid a tearful farewell to a newlywed couple who lost their lives in a road accident in Thiruvananthapuram. The deceased were identified as Ashiq Sana (29) and his wife Noushija (24), residents of Pittupeedika in Koduvayur. The accident occurred on May 8 at Kowdiar in Thiruvananthapuram when a car that reportedly went out of control struck the couple while they were walking along the road.
Details of the Accident
Noushija succumbed to her injuries on the same day while undergoing treatment at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital. Ashiq, who sustained severe injuries, underwent emergency surgery at a private hospital but unfortunately died on Saturday. Their bodies were brought back to their hometown and buried on separate days, with relatives, friends, and residents present to pay their respects.
Marriage and Honeymoon
The couple had tied the knot on March 8. Ashiq, who worked in Dubai, had returned home for the wedding and was scheduled to rejoin work on Saturday. According to relatives, the couple had traveled to Thiruvananthapuram for their honeymoon when the tragic accident occurred.
The incident has left the community in shock and mourning. The loss of two young lives in such a tragic manner has deeply affected everyone who knew them.
