Kalyan: The body of a four-year-old girl was discovered floating in the Mothagaon creek area of Dombivli, police confirmed on Friday. The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community.

According to Vishnu Nagar police, the young girl resided with her parents and younger brother near the creek. Her father works as a laborer at a nearby construction site. The family had been living in the area for some time.
Police reported that the child left her home around 8 pm on Thursday to play but failed to return. Concerned family members initiated a search in the vicinity. Given that the child often played near the Mothagaon creek, the family proceeded there and discovered her body floating close to the water's edge, officials stated.
