Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir have arrested four overground workers (OGWs) of the banned terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in a major crackdown. The arrests were made in different parts of the Kashmir Valley following intelligence inputs about their involvement in supporting militant activities.
Details of the Arrests
The arrested individuals have been identified as residents of various districts. They were allegedly providing logistical support, shelter, and funding to active militants of the LeT. Incriminating materials, including arms and ammunition, were seized from their possession.
Security Operation
The operation was jointly conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Officials stated that the arrests have significantly disrupted the LeT's network in the region. Further investigations are underway to trace their links with other militants.
Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities. The crackdown is part of a broader effort to eliminate terrorist infrastructure in the union territory.
