Four Killed in Himachal Car Accident on Piyulani-Bhalona Road

Shimla: A tragic car accident on the Piyulani-Bhalona road in the Sangrah sub-division of Sirmaur district claimed four lives, including three women, and left one man critically injured on Monday morning.

Details of the Accident

The vehicle reportedly veered off the road, leading to the fatal crash. The deceased were identified as Amra Devi (52), a teacher at Bhalona School; her daughter Aradhya (14); Priyanka (14) of Uncha Tikker village; and Sajjan Singh (62) of Kajwa. Amra Devi's son, Ajit Kumar (33), sustained serious injuries and has been referred to a medical college in Nahan for treatment. Amra Devi was a resident of Gattadhar panchayat in Sangrah.

Locals Blame Poor Road Conditions

Locals held the poor condition of the road responsible for the accident, reiterating long-pending demands for its repair. SDM Sunil Kayath reached the spot soon after the incident. The exact cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.

Chief Minister Expresses Condolences

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and sought a report on the incident from the district administration.
