A fire broke out on the Sasaram-Patna passenger train on Monday, caused by a suspected short circuit at Sasaram Junction in Bihar. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far.
This incident comes just a day after a fire erupted on the Trivandrum Central–Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express (Train No. 12431) in Madhya Pradesh's Ratlam district. In that incident, all 68 passengers in the affected coach were safely evacuated. However, a relief vehicle rushing to the scene later met with an accident, leaving more than five railway employees seriously injured.
