Alongside the yellow alert for the two Kerala districts, the weather office has warned of squally conditions. Wind speeds reaching 40-50 kmph, gusting to 60 kmph, are anticipated along and off the South Tamil Nadu coast, the Gulf of Mannar, the Comorin area, and over the Andaman Sea and adjoining parts of the Bay of Bengal. A specific fishermen warning has been issued for South Kerala, advising against venturing into these turbulent seas.
