Vidarbha's Winter Chill Fades as Temperatures Rise Across Districts
Vidarbha is experiencing a significant shift in weather patterns. Temperatures are climbing steadily across the region. This marks a clear departure from the biting cold of recent weeks. The winter season appears to be drawing to a close.
Minimum Temperatures Show Upward Trend
Weather data from January 19 reveals a consistent rise in night-time temperatures. Most districts reported higher minimum readings. This indicates a gradual withdrawal of the winter chill.
Nagpur recorded a minimum temperature of 13.2 degrees Celsius. This represents a noticeable increase from previous days. Amravati registered a minimum of 15.7 degrees Celsius. Wardha saw an even sharper rise, with its minimum reaching 15 degrees Celsius.
Buldana and Yavatmal both reported minimum temperatures close to 16 degrees Celsius. Gondia was the sole exception. Its minimum temperature dipped to around 11.2 degrees Celsius, bucking the regional trend.
Maximum Temperatures Remain Elevated
Daytime heat also persisted across Vidarbha. Maximum temperatures generally hovered around or above the 30-degree mark. Brahmapuri recorded the highest maximum temperature at 33.2 degrees Celsius.
Amravati followed closely with a maximum of 32.6 degrees Celsius. Chandrapur registered 32.2 degrees Celsius. Nagpur's maximum temperature reached 30.8 degrees Celsius.
Contrast with Recent Cold Spell
This warming trend offers relief from a harsh cold period. Nagpur endured particularly biting cold for several consecutive days in December and early January. Minimum temperatures repeatedly plunged below 10 degrees Celsius.
The intense cold caused widespread distress among residents. Citizens braved chilly conditions even during daytime hours. The prolonged cold spell also triggered health issues.
Children, the elderly, and individuals with respiratory ailments were especially affected. Many struggled with the severe weather conditions.
Humidity and Rainfall Patterns
Relative humidity levels varied across different districts. Mornings typically saw higher humidity readings. Afternoons tended to be drier across the region.
No rainfall was recorded in Vidarbha during this period. The dry conditions contributed to the temperature fluctuations.
Weather Outlook for Coming Days
Meteorological officials provided forecasts for the upcoming week. They expect minimum temperatures to remain between 13 degrees Celsius and 16 degrees Celsius in most districts.
This prediction suggests winter conditions will continue easing steadily. The region appears headed toward warmer weather patterns typical of the approaching season.
Residents can anticipate more comfortable temperatures in the days ahead. The sharp cold of December and early January seems to be receding into memory.
