Tiger Spotted Near Agricultural Fields
Villagers sighted the tiger on Thursday near the agricultural fields in Rehua Mansoor village of the Ramgaon area. Local residents promptly alerted forest officials about the dangerous animal.
A forest department team led by the local ranger rushed to the spot and initiated a rescue operation. Divisional forest officer Sundaresha confirmed the tiger's presence through a drone survey.
Drone Survey Confirms Tiger's Location
The drone captured clear images of the tiger sitting amid dense bushes. This confirmation helped officials plan their next steps carefully.
To safely capture the animal, the forest department began laying traps and nets in a cordoned-off zone around the sighting location. They took every precaution to ensure both human and animal safety.
Elephants Arrive from Dudhwa Tiger Reserve
Forest officials requisitioned two trained elephants from the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve. These elephants were expected to reach the site by evening to assist with the operation.
With the help of these elephants, a team of wildlife experts plans to corner the tiger. They will then tranquillise it to prevent any harm to local residents.
Forest Officials Camp at the Site
Several forest officials are currently camping at the site. The team includes Dudhwa reserve wildlife veterinarian Dayashankar, range officer Shakib Ansari, and circle officer Pawan Kumar.
These officials are working around the clock to manage the situation. Their presence provides reassurance to the worried villagers.
