Madhya Pradesh Braces for Intensifying Heat Waves from Wednesday
The harsh weather conditions in Madhya Pradesh are set to intensify further starting Wednesday, according to officials from the Meteorological Department's Bhopal circle. This comes after a brief marginal respite in temperatures was observed at a few locations on Monday and Tuesday.
Current Temperature Trends
On Tuesday, Bhopal recorded a day temperature of 40.2 degrees Celsius, which is one degree above the normal mark. The night temperature in the city was 23.4 degrees Celsius, aligning with the normal range. Meanwhile, Narmadapuram and Khajuraho experienced even higher day temperatures, reaching 43 degrees Celsius.
Forecast for Bhopal
The Meteorological Department has forecast a partly cloudy sky for Bhopal on Wednesday. The expected day temperature is 40 degrees Celsius, with a night temperature of 23 degrees Celsius. The average wind speed is predicted to be 12 kilometers per hour.
State-Wide Weather Warnings
In its forecast for the entire state, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning for thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds in several districts. The affected areas include Singrauli, Sidhi, Anuppur, Shahdol, Dindori, Mandla, and Balaghat.
Residents are advised to take necessary precautions as the heat waves grip the region from midweek, potentially leading to adverse health impacts and increased energy demands.
