Temperature Readings Show Mixed Trends
The maximum temperature recorded in Lucknow on Sunday was 32.5 degrees Celsius, which is notably 3.9 degrees below the normal average for this time of year. In contrast, the minimum temperature settled at 18.8 degrees Celsius, registering 0.3 degrees above the typical normal level. This temperature pattern indicates a cooler daytime but slightly warmer nighttime compared to seasonal expectations.
Weather Forecast: Clear Skies to Give Way to Stormy Conditions
According to meteorological experts, Lucknow can expect clear skies for the next two days. However, the weather is set to change significantly by mid-week. Senior scientist Mohammad Danish from the Lucknow Meteorological Centre provided detailed insights into the upcoming weather pattern.
"For the next two days, the sky will remain clear," Danish explained. "On Tuesday, the sky will become partly cloudy while on Wednesday, the partly cloudy sky will become generally cloudy with intermittent spells of rain and thundershowers."
Western Disturbance to Bring Active Weather
The anticipated change in weather conditions is attributed to a fresh western disturbance that is likely to pass through Pakistan and Afghanistan. This weather system is expected to influence Lucknow's atmospheric conditions starting Wednesday.
Danish further warned about the potential intensity of the upcoming weather event: "There is a possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds with speeds reaching 30-40 kilometers per hour."
