Gujarat Weather: Light Rain Forecast for 6 Districts, Ahmedabad Sees Temperature Dip
Light Rain Forecast for 6 Gujarat Districts on Wednesday

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a spell of light rainfall for several districts in Gujarat on Wednesday, influenced by a Western Disturbance. While parts of the state brace for wet weather, other regions will continue to experience clear skies.

Rainfall Alert for Northern and Coastal Districts

The impact of the Western Disturbance is expected to bring light rain to parts of Banaskantha, Patan, Jamnagar, Morbi, Devbhumi Dwarka, and Kutch districts. Residents in these areas may witness scattered showers. Meanwhile, the forecast indicates that other parts of Gujarat will have clear weather conditions throughout the day.

Ahmedabad Records a Cooler Morning

The city of Ahmedabad experienced a slight drop in the night temperature. On Tuesday, the minimum temperature settled at 14.8 degrees Celsius. This was lower than Monday's minimum of 15.4°C. However, Tuesday's minimum was still 2.6 degrees above the normal average for this time of year.

The daytime heat was also above normal, with the maximum temperature reaching 29.6°C, which is 1.7 degrees higher than usual. For Wednesday, the Met department predicts Ahmedabad's minimum temperature to hover around 15°C.

Statewide Temperature Trends and IMD Outlook

Across Gujarat, minimum temperatures remained above the 10°C mark. Naliya recorded a low of 12.6°C, followed by Amreli at 13.2°C and Deesa at 13.6°C.

The IMD's broader forecast suggests a period of fluctuating temperatures for the state. The department expects no significant change in minimum temperatures over the next 48 hours. Following that, a fall of 2-3 degrees is likely over two days. Subsequently, temperatures are predicted to rise again by 2-3 degrees in the days that follow, indicating a variable weather pattern ahead.
