The assailant, armed with a knife, targeted the women at three separate stations along the line. According to police sources cited by Le Parisien, the attacks unfolded first at Arts-et-Métiers station, then at République, and finally at Opéra. In each instance, the attacker pulled out a blade and assaulted his victims before moving on.
The women sustained what were described as minor injuries, primarily to their backs and thighs. However, eyewitness accounts from the République station painted a more graphic picture. "The young woman was injured in the thigh," one witness testified. "There was quite a lot of blood; it was a pretty deep cut."
