In a statement cited by Al Arabiya, Bapco Energies confirmed that the fire had been successfully brought under control. The company is currently conducting a thorough assessment of the damage to determine the extent of the impact on operations and infrastructure.
Bahrain Issues Safety Alert
Separately, the Bahrain Interior Ministry reported that sirens were sounded early Sunday morning in response to the attack. Authorities urged citizens and residents to remain calm and proceed to the nearest safe location as a precautionary measure.
History of Similar Attacks
This is not the first time the refinery has been targeted. Last month, a similar attack occurred at the same location, resulting in a fire that was also contained without any reported casualties. The repeated incidents highlight the ongoing vulnerability of critical energy infrastructure in the region.

The attack comes amid a widening conflict involving the United States and Israel against Iran. Tehran has recently launched strikes targeting Israel and parts of the Gulf region, intensifying tensions. In a related development, Iran mocked the United States for what it called a bitter defeat in southern Isfahan, following the rescue of a second F-15 crew member who went missing after Iran downed the jet.
According to news agency ANI, Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, stated that the incident exposed the hollow nature of the American military and the humiliating failure of its forces. Press TV further reported that Zolfaghari claimed Iranian forces had downed a C-130-class aircraft involved in the operation.
