Meteorological Factors and Forecast

Meteorologists attribute the steady temperature rise to prevailing dry northwesterly winds and the absence of rainfall. The IMD forecast indicates that maximum temperatures in Haryana may increase by another 3 to 4 degrees Celsius over the next five days.

Daytime temperatures are expected to breach the 40-degree mark in several areas. Authorities have advised residents to avoid stepping outdoors during peak afternoon hours, stay hydrated, and take precautions against heat-related illnesses.

Heatwave Warning for Haryana

The IMD stated, "The heatwave conditions are likely to intensify gradually from Sunday onward, especially in parts of western and southern Haryana, including Mahendragarh, Rewari, Jhajjar, Gurgaon, Mewat, Palwal, Faridabad, Rohtak, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Jind, Bhiwani and Charkhi Dadri."

Residents in these areas are urged to remain vigilant and follow safety guidelines to mitigate the impact of the heatwave.
