A tragic road accident in Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh claimed two lives and left two others injured on Tuesday. The incident occurred when a car lost control and plunged into a deep gorge near Badyar village.
The deceased have been identified as Rajesh Kumar (45) and Sunil Kumar (38), both residents of Hamirpur. The injured, identified as Ravi Kumar (30) and Vikram Singh (42), were rushed to the Regional Hospital Hamirpur for treatment.
According to the police, the car was traveling from Hamirpur to Badyar when the driver lost control on a sharp curve, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and fall into the gorge. Local residents alerted the authorities, and a rescue operation was launched immediately.
The injured are reported to be out of danger, and an investigation into the cause of the accident is underway. The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
