Chennai: A tragic road accident near Tiruttani has claimed two lives and left another man critically injured. The incident occurred when a motorcycle lost control and struck a pedestrian walking along the roadside.

Details of the Accident

The deceased have been identified as Chandran, 43, a construction supervisor from TV Puram village, and Panneerselvam, 65, a pedestrian. Chandran was returning to Tiruttani on a motorcycle with his assistant, Padmanaban, after completing construction work at R K Pet. When they reached Agur village, Chandran lost control of the vehicle, which veered off the road and hit Panneerselvam, who was walking along the road.

Injuries and Medical Response

All three individuals sustained serious injuries in the collision. Locals immediately rushed them to Tiruttani Government Hospital. Panneerselvam was declared dead upon arrival. Despite medical intervention, Chandran later succumbed to his injuries. Padmanaban remains in critical condition and is receiving treatment.
