The installation of crest gates at the Tungabhadra Dam in Hosapete has been successfully concluded. The major work has been finished, and only miscellaneous tasks such as welding and painting remain to be completed, according to Tungabhadra Board secretary B R K Reddy.

The project, which aimed to enhance the dam's operational efficiency and safety, has reached its final stages. The crest gates are crucial for regulating water flow and managing water levels, especially during the monsoon season.

Officials confirmed that the installation process was carried out smoothly, with all technical specifications met. The remaining work, including welding and painting, is expected to be finished within a few days.
