Trichy: The Union Railway Ministry has approved a new daytime train service between Trichy and Tirupati, fulfilling a long-standing demand of passengers from central Tamil Nadu. This new service is expected to significantly improve connectivity, boost tourism and trade, and offer convenient travel options for thousands of passengers.
Route Extension Details
As per the new arrangement, the existing train running between Guntur and Tirupati will be extended up to Trichy, thereby establishing a direct Trichy–Guntur–Tirupati route. This extension will provide seamless travel for passengers from the central districts of Tamil Nadu to the holy city of Tirupati and beyond.
Benefits for Passengers
The new service is expected to greatly benefit devotees travelling to Tirupati, as well as students, businessmen, and the general public in the central districts of Tamil Nadu. It will reduce travel time and offer a daytime option, making journeys more convenient and accessible.
