External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar held wide-ranging discussions with Jamaican officials on Wednesday, focusing on deepening economic and strategic ties between the two nations. The talks, which took place in Kingston, covered areas such as trade, investment, energy, and regional security.

Jaishankar met with Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness and Foreign Minister Kamina Johnson Smith, among others. The leaders reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and explored ways to enhance cooperation in sectors like pharmaceuticals, information technology, and renewable energy. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to working together on global issues, including climate change and reform of multilateral institutions.
