As many as 32 students from Himachal Pradesh's government schools have cleared the JEE Main examination this year, with six of them also qualifying the JEE Advanced. This achievement is largely attributed to the 'Super-100' program run by Samagra Shiksha, which prepares meritorious students from government schools for national-level competitive exams.
Free Coaching for Aspiring Engineers and Doctors
Under this initiative, students receive free, high-quality coaching for prestigious examinations such as JEE and NEET. The program enables talented students from economically weaker families to dream big and achieve their goals despite financial constraints.
Comprehensive Support System
Sonia Sharma, state coordinator of Samagra Shiksha, explained that students are provided not only subject-specific coaching but also study material, regular assessments, and special sessions designed to mentally prepare them for exams. Since 2021, a total of 76 students have qualified for JEE through this program.
Students are selected through a state-level examination conducted by Samagra Shiksha. In the selection test held in September 2025, 5,193 science-stream students from 850 government schools participated, out of which 200 were chosen. Selected students receive live interactive classes, weekly and monthly tests, printed study materials, mentorship sessions, and special crash courses—all completely free. Additionally, two residential boot camps were organized in October 2025 and January 2026, providing face-to-face guidance from teachers.

Rajesh Sharma, director of Samagra Shiksha, emphasized that the program has emerged as a source of hope and a pathway to a brighter future for students from economically weaker families who could not afford private coaching fees. He stated, "The success proves that students from government schools are equally capable of reaching the country's top engineering institutions." He added that 'Super-100' is not merely a coaching program but a powerful platform that bridges the gap between talent and opportunity.
