Hyderabad: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai stated on Friday that his government is awaiting the technical survey report from IIT Roorkee regarding the impact of the Sammakka Sarakka project, which is being undertaken by the Telangana government, on Chhattisgarh.
CM Comments on Survey
Speaking to mediapersons on the sidelines of the Chhattisgarh Investor Connect meet, Vishnu Deo Sai said, “We are getting a survey done by IIT Roorkee. Only after the survey report comes can we move forward in the matter.” He was referring to his meeting with Telangana’s irrigation minister Uttam Kumar Reddy on Thursday night in Hyderabad.
Project Status
Although Chhattisgarh granted an in-principle approval for the project in late 2025, a formal No Objection Certificate (NOC) is pending as the independent technical survey by IIT Roorkee is still underway.
