State-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) announced on Wednesday that it has secured a significant order valued between Rs 2,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore from a Nigerian entity. The contract was officially signed with Nigeria's Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals Free Zone Enterprise on June 2, as per a regulatory filing submitted to the stock exchanges.
Scope of the Order
The order encompasses the design, manufacturing, supply, and supervision of erection and commissioning of eight gas turbine generator packages. These packages are intended for the petroleum refinery and polypropylene plant located in the Dangote Industries Free Zone, Nigeria. The comprehensive scope highlights BHEL's expertise in providing end-to-end solutions for large-scale industrial projects.
Project Timeline
According to the company's statement, the contract will be executed within a period of 26 months from the start date or the effective date of the agreement. This timeline underscores the efficiency and commitment of BHEL in delivering complex projects on schedule.
