Depression Cited as Possible Cause

Police sources revealed that depression may have driven Gaurav to take the extreme step. His body was found at a desolate spot near Bhagi Mahari village, approximately 12 kilometers from his residence in ward no. 7 of Parseoni. A bottle of insecticide was recovered from inside the vehicle. He reportedly vomited inside the car before collapsing outside.

Struggle with Mental Health

Despite his active public life, Gaurav was battling severe depression for a few months following health complications, particularly sleep apnea. He attempted suicide about a week ago by consuming sleeping pills but was rescued in time. In recent days, he was sharing his emotional distress on social media and confiding in friends and acquaintances. Many tried to counsel him, but his mental health struggles continued.

Final Moments

On Tuesday, Gaurav left home, telling his mother he was heading to Bitoli village in Parseoni taluka and would return within an hour. Instead, he drove to the isolated location near Bhagi Mahari, where he allegedly died by suicide. His body was spotted on Wednesday morning by a local police warden, who immediately alerted the police. Officers registered the case as an accidental death.
