Daytime Tiger Sighting in Betla
Mehtab Ahmad and Zeynab Falak, residents of Ranchi, spotted the majestic tiger while on safari. The big cat was seen basking in a bush near a water body within the national park.
Forest Official's Statement
Betla forest range officer Umesh Dubey provided details about the sighting. He said the couple reported seeing the tiger clearly during their safari experience.
"The tourist couple from Ranchi spotted the tiger during their daytime safari," Dubey stated. "The animal was seen basking in a bush near a water body."
Timing of the Sighting
Forest officials noted that by the time they reached the exact location, the tiger had already moved on. The sighting occurred during daylight hours, which is somewhat unusual as tigers are often more active during dawn and dusk.

The forest department continues to monitor wildlife movements in the area to ensure both animal safety and visitor security.
