A tragic road accident occurred in the early hours of Thursday on National Highway 50 near Kudligi town in Vijayanagara district, resulting in one fatality and injuries to 12 others. According to police reports, a TT vehicle traveling from Bengaluru towards Kudligi was struck from behind by a speeding truck.
Victim and Injuries
The deceased has been identified as Madhu, a 27-year-old native of Andhra Pradesh who worked as an employee at an electronics showroom. He died on the spot due to the impact of the collision. The injured passengers from the TT vehicle are currently receiving medical treatment at Kudligi Government Hospital and Ballari Trauma Care Centre.
Police Investigation
Kudligi Deputy Superintendent of Police Mallesh Dodmani and Circle Inspector Prahlad Channagiri visited the accident site to assess the situation. Preliminary investigations suggest that negligence on the part of the truck driver may have caused the accident. A case has been registered at the Kudligi police station, and further investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances leading to the crash.
