A 43-year-old motorcyclist from Nagpur has succumbed to injuries sustained in a collision with a stray cow, eight days after the accident. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Khaparkheda Police Station, once again drawing attention to the growing problem of stray cattle on rural roads in the region.
Details of the Incident
The deceased has been identified as Ishwar Wasnik, a resident of Isapur village in Saoner taluka. On April 14, at around 6:30 pm, Wasnik was riding his motorcycle near Dahegaon Chowk when a cow suddenly darted across the road and collided with him. He suffered severe injuries and was immediately rushed to a private hospital for treatment.
Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, Wasnik passed away on Sunday at approximately 7 am. An accidental death report has been registered at Khaparkheda Police Station, and further investigations are underway.
