The birds occupy a specific area measuring approximately 160 kilometers from north to south and 90 kilometers from east to west. At least 10 key roosting sites were identified, all within dense spinifex (Triodia) habitats, which are crucial for shelter and survival. This confirms that Night Parrots persist but are confined to highly specialized and limited areas.
