Realme GT 8 Pro Launches with World's First Switchable Camera
Realme GT 8 Pro & Dream Edition Launched in India

In a significant move for the Indian smartphone market, Realme has officially launched its latest flagship devices, the Realme GT 8 Pro and the Realme GT 8 Pro Dream Edition. The smartphones went on sale starting Tuesday, November 25, 2025, and are available for purchase via Realme's official website, Flipkart, and retail stores nationwide.

Powerhouse Performance and Display

At the heart of the Realme GT 8 Pro lies the formidable Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, coupled with a dedicated Hyper Vision+ AI processor. This powerful combination is engineered to provide a substantial boost in computational capabilities, facilitating advanced AI upscaling, highly efficient frame generation, and exceptionally smooth gameplay at 144Hz without any significant thermal throttling.

The device boasts a stunning 2K 144Hz HyperGlow display that achieves an industry-leading peak brightness of 7,000 nits. This visual experience is further enhanced by Realme's symmetric master acoustic speaker setup, an advanced haptics engine for immersive feedback, and a robust 7K ultimate VC cooling system to maintain optimal performance during intensive tasks.

A Revolutionary Camera System

The camera department is where the Realme GT 8 Pro truly innovates. It marks the debut of the first-ever Ricoh GR Camera System integrated into a smartphone. This professional-grade setup includes GR-specific focal lengths of 28mm and 40mm, film-inspired colour profiles, Snap Focus technology, and a high-resolution 200MP telephoto lens for capturing incredible detail from a distance.

However, the most groundbreaking feature is the world's first switchable camera bump. This allows users unprecedented levels of personalization by letting them physically interchange the camera module. You can choose between a circular, square, or various themed camera modules to match your style, making the phone's aesthetics uniquely yours.

Battery, Pricing, and Special Edition

Ensuring that the powerhouse keeps running is a massive 7,000mAh battery. It supports 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, promising extended usage times. Realme claims the device can deliver over 20 hours of video playback or more than eight hours of continuous gaming on a single charge.

The company also unveiled the Realme GT 8 Pro Dream Edition, created in collaboration with the Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team. This special variant sports the team's signature racing green colour with lime accents and features a custom Formula 1-inspired user interface.

Regarding pricing, the Dream Edition (16GB RAM + 512GB storage) is priced at Rs 79,999. The standard GT 8 Pro (12GB RAM + 256GB storage) starts at Rs 72,999. Potential buyers should note that effective prices may be lower on select platforms due to ongoing promotional bank offers.
