Krafton India has officially launched the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) 4.2 update. This latest version brings exciting lifestyle crossovers that blend fantasy with reality. Players can now look forward to riding iconic Royal Enfield motorcycles and diving into a collaboration with the popular "Peaky Blinders" television series.
Primewood Genesis Theme Adds Magic to Battlegrounds
The update centers around the "Primewood Genesis" theme mode. This mode introduces fantasy elements and magical features to the game. Key additions include the Tree of Life and the Corrupting Flower. The Corrupting Flower releases a deadly poison that instantly eliminates any player who touches it.
New items and abilities enhance the gameplay experience. The Golden Fruit provides players with a bulletproof jacket. This jacket offers protection until its health depletes. It can also revive players if they get knocked down during combat.
New Companions, Vehicles, and Abilities
Players will encounter new companion animals like the Thorn Scorpion and the Cherry Blossom Deer. Each companion possesses unique special powers that can aid in battles. The update also introduces the Prime Eye feature. This feature grants abilities such as Barrier, Teleport, and Heal, giving players strategic advantages.

The Royal Enfield collaboration features two classic motorcycles: the Bullet 350 and the Continental GT 650. These bikes will become available in-game starting January 19. Alongside the motorcycles, players can access Royal Enfield-themed content and rewards through the SPIN format from January 19 to 22.
Rewards include items like the Revel 01 Set, Bullet Line – P90 gun skin, CrankGuard helmet, and Roadborn Rucksack backpack. The Peaky Blinders crossover brings outfits inspired by the series, including voice packs for characters like Thomas Shelby. These items will also debut on January 19.
Competitive System Revamp and Additional Features
BGMI 4.2 revamps the competitive ranking system with a new "Promotion Match" mechanic. This feature applies to higher ranks, offering more challenging gameplay. Players can earn rewards through upcoming events tied to the collaborations.
The update also enhances Metro Royale by bringing back the Skyhigh Spectacle mode. A new weapon, the Honey Badger, is introduced. This weapon heals the player when they eliminate an enemy, adding a tactical element to fights.
