Skoda is preparing to launch the first major update for its popular Kushaq SUV. The company has released an official teaser, giving enthusiasts a clear glimpse of the upcoming changes. This mid-cycle refresh will bring cosmetic enhancements, additional features, and some exciting design tweaks to the model.
Skoda Kushaq Facelift Launch Timeline
The official teaser shows the facelifted Kushaq covered in a green sheet, set against a picturesque mustard field. The caption "The wait is almost over" strongly suggests an imminent launch. Skoda cleverly draws inspiration from the iconic Bollywood film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, even incorporating the movie's famous music into the reveal.
Exterior Design Updates
Despite the cover, several design elements are clearly visible. The front end gets a significant refresh with a full-width LED daytime running light setup. This new design features multiple light segments instead of a single continuous strip. The grille appears sharper and more aggressive, likely taking cues from the Kylaq model.
At the rear, expect redesigned tail-lamps connected by a sleek LED light bar. An illuminated Skoda logo will complete the updated look. While the overall silhouette remains familiar with the signature split headlamp layout, revised bumpers and slimmer front elements will help distinguish the facelift from the current model.
Interior & Feature Upgrades
The cabin changes promise to be more substantial. The Kushaq facelift is expected to receive a larger touchscreen infotainment system along with several new comfort and technology features. Powertrain & Competition
Mechanically, the Kushaq facelift will continue with the same turbo-petrol engine options. Transmission choices remain unchanged, including 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, and 7-speed DSG options depending on the engine variant.
Once launched, the updated Kushaq will continue competing in the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment. Its main rivals include the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and the Tata Harrier.
