Samsung Electronics has officially pulled back the curtain on its upcoming range of audio products for the year 2026. The company plans to showcase this new lineup at the highly anticipated Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is scheduled to run from January 6 to January 9, 2026.
Focus on Immersive Sound and Seamless Integration
The core philosophy behind Samsung's 2026 audio collection is a significant upgrade in user experience. The company states that the new devices are engineered to provide improved sound immersion, cleaner audio output, and superior integration across various gadgets within a smart home ecosystem. This move builds upon Samsung's established history in the soundbar market and ensures these new products work flawlessly with Samsung televisions and other SmartThings-enabled devices.
Hun Lee, the Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, emphasized the company's legacy. "For more than a decade, Samsung has shaped the evolution of home audio through advanced acoustics, intelligent features and thoughtful design," Lee said. "We’re continuing that legacy with next-generation sound devices designed to deliver a rich, expressive performance for any space and moment."
Flagship Q-Series Soundbars Lead the Charge
At the forefront of the announcement are the updated Q-Series soundbars. The flagship model, the HW-Q990H, introduces innovative features aimed at enhancing everyday viewing. A key addition is Sound Elevation, a technology designed to make dialogue appear as if it is emanating from the centre of the TV screen, ensuring clearer speech comprehension. It also includes an Auto Volume function to maintain consistent sound levels when switching between different content, like movies and commercials.
This high-end system boasts an impressive 11.1.4-channel configuration. The setup comprises a main soundbar, rear speakers, and a compact active subwoofer that promises powerful bass without occupying excessive space.
Another notable introduction is the HW-QS90H All-in-One Soundbar. Designed for flexibility, it supports both wall-mounted and tabletop placements. A built-in gyro sensor automatically adjusts the audio output based on the soundbar's orientation. This model features a 7.1.2-channel system powered by 13 drivers and includes an integrated bass system, eliminating the need for a separate subwoofer unit.
Expanding the Ecosystem: Music Studio Wi-Fi Speakers
Beyond soundbars, Samsung is broadening its portfolio with two new Wi-Fi speakers under the Music Studio series: the Music Studio 7 and the Music Studio 5. Both models are designed to operate independently or seamlessly integrate into a larger Samsung audio setup for a whole-home audio experience.
The larger Music Studio 7 is engineered for audiophiles, delivering 3.1.1-channel spatial audio with support for high-resolution sound and an extended frequency range for exceptional clarity. The more compact Music Studio 5 focuses on a balanced audio profile and smart connectivity, offering options like Wi-Fi streaming, Bluetooth, and voice control for convenient operation.
Samsung has also upgraded its proprietary Q-Symphony feature for 2026. This technology allows Samsung TVs, soundbars, and Wi-Fi speakers to function in harmony as a unified audio system. Users can now connect up to five sound devices to a single television, with the system intelligently adjusting the audio output based on the room's specific layout. Control over playback and sound settings is centralized through the SmartThings app.
Additionally, the company will highlight its Sound Tower speakers, which were initially launched in late 2025, as part of its comprehensive home audio offerings at CES 2026.
