Mahindra XUV 7XO Teaser Reveals Triple-Screen Cabin & Tech; Launch Jan 2026
Mahindra XUV 7XO Cabin Teaser Shows Triple-Screen Dashboard

Mahindra & Mahindra has released a fresh teaser for its upcoming XUV 7XO, shifting focus to the SUV's interior and confirming a significant technological leap. The latest glimpse reveals a modern cabin dominated by multiple screens and introduces a novel feature aimed at enhancing passenger comfort.

A Glimpse Inside: The Triple-Screen Revolution

The short video provides the first official look at the XUV 7XO's dashboard, which will feature a triple-screen layout spanning its width. This setup includes a digital instrument cluster for the driver, a central touchscreen for infotainment, and a dedicated screen for the front passenger. This architecture mirrors the one already seen in Mahindra's premium electric offering, the XEV 9S, marking a clear move towards a more digital and connected cabin experience.

Beyond the screens, the teaser highlights another key innovation: Electric Boss Mode. This function allows rear-seat occupants to electrically adjust the front passenger seat when it is empty, thereby creating extra legroom. Mahindra has also confirmed the inclusion of rear window sun blinds for added comfort and privacy.

What We Know About The XUV 7XO

The XUV 7XO is essentially a comprehensive update of the popular XUV700. It will be the brand's next internal combustion engine (ICE) model to adopt the new 'XO' naming strategy, following the XUV 3XO. The SUV is scheduled for a grand launch on January 5, 2026.

Interested customers can pre-book the vehicle starting December 15, 2025, by paying a token amount of Rs 21,000. Deliveries are expected to commence by mid-January 2026.

While the latest teaser focuses on the interior, earlier previews have shown the exterior updates. These include revised C-shaped LED headlamps, new 7-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs), updated tail-lamps, a refreshed grille, and a new set of alloy wheels.

Expected Powertrain and Performance

Under the hood, the XUV 7XO is likely to carry forward the proven engine options from the XUV700. The lineup is expected to comprise:

  • A 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine generating 197 bhp and 380 Nm of torque.
  • A 2.2-litre diesel engine delivering 182 bhp and up to 450 Nm of torque.

Both engines will be offered with a choice of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The all-wheel-drive (AWD) system is expected to continue as an option on select diesel variants.

The reveal of the high-tech cabin solidifies the XUV 7XO's position as a major upgrade, focusing heavily on in-car technology and premium features to compete fiercely in the crowded SUV segment.
