The Hyundai Exter, which made a significant splash in the Indian passenger vehicle market upon its debut in July 2023, is gearing up for a mid-life refresh. Known for its distinctive design and array of segment-leading features, this popular SUV from the South Korean automaker is now undergoing updates, with a test mule recently spotted on roads. The 2026 Hyundai Exter facelift is currently in development, and while heavy camouflage conceals most details, it promises meaningful enhancements. Hyundai is anticipated to unveil the updated Exter in India during the first quarter of 2025, sparking excitement among automotive enthusiasts.

Spyshots of the test mule reveal that the Exter will retain its signature split-style headlamp cluster and H-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs). However, the front bumper is expected to receive minor tweaks, and the radiator grille will sport a redesigned look for a fresher appearance. At the rear, the SUV is likely to feature a revamped tailgate with rectangular taillights and an updated bumper, complemented by new design alloy wheels that enhance its overall stance.
Interior Upgrades: Enhanced Comfort and Technology
The mid-cycle update is set to bring a host of improvements inside the cabin of the 2026 Hyundai Exter.
