BenQ has officially launched its latest duo of high-performance 4K smart projectors in the Indian market. The new TK705i and TK705STi models are designed to bring a seamless, cinematic experience directly into modern Indian living rooms, emphasizing ease of use and stunning visual fidelity.
Designed for Smart, Hassle-Free Entertainment
Addressing the growing demand for large-screen home entertainment, BenQ's new projectors are positioned as plug-and-play solutions. Rajeev Singh, Managing Director at BenQ India & South Asia, highlighted the company's focus on simplicity. He stated that Indian households seek smart and ready-to-perform entertainment without complex setup processes. The TK705i series, with its built-in intelligence, is engineered to "think for you," offering features like automatic setup and integrated Google TV.
Key Specifications and Pricing
Both projectors share core high-end specifications but cater to different room sizes. They deliver True 4K UHD resolution and a bright 3,000 ANSI lumens output, ensuring clear pictures even in moderately lit rooms. For gamers, the ultra-low input lag of 5ms at 4K/60Hz and dedicated gaming modes are a significant highlight.
The smart suite is powered by built-in Google TV, providing access to a vast library of apps including Netflix. The projectors also feature an 8-way Smart Image Adaptation system for automatic focus, keystone correction, and obstacle avoidance.
The primary difference lies in the throw distance. The standard-throw TK705i is suited for larger rooms with flexible placement, while the short-throw TK705STi can project a 100-inch image from just 1.8 meters, making it ideal for compact spaces.
The BenQ TK705i is priced at Rs 1,99,990 (MRP), and the TK705STi is priced at Rs 2,25,000 (MRP). The price premium for the STi model accounts for its specialized short-throw lens technology. Both models are now available through BenQ's authorized retail and online partners across India.
Same Core Experience, Different Installation
Despite the difference in throw ratio and price, BenQ ensures that both models provide an identical premium experience. Key shared features include:
- Visual Performance: 98% Rec.709 color accuracy with CinematicColor and HDR-PRO technology.
- Audio: A dual 8W TreVolo speaker system with Dolby Audio and Bluetooth 5.2.
- Connectivity: Future-proof ports like HDMI 2.1 with eARC and a USB-C port with 30W Power Delivery.
- Voice Control: Hands-free operation via Google Assistant.
This launch strengthens BenQ's footprint in India's premium home entertainment segment, offering tailored solutions for diverse Indian home layouts. The projectors aim to transform everyday streaming, gaming, and movie nights into immersive cinematic events without the traditional complexities of home theater setup.
