Mangaluru Authorities Inspect, Minimise Rain Damage with Desilting and Commanders
Mangaluru Inspections Start to Reduce Rain Damage

Mangaluru: Authorities have initiated inspections and launched efforts to reduce rain-related damages in the city. Desilting works are currently underway, and the Mangaluru City Corporation has designated 60 incident commanders, assigning one to each ward to coordinate response and mitigation activities.

This proactive measure aims to prevent flooding and other issues caused by heavy rainfall. The incident commanders will oversee desilting operations, monitor waterlogging, and ensure swift action in their respective wards. The corporation has emphasised the importance of preparedness to minimise disruptions and protect residents.

Residents are encouraged to report any rain-related concerns to their ward's incident commander. The initiative reflects the city's commitment to improving infrastructure and disaster management ahead of the monsoon season.
