NEW DELHI: An Etihad Airways flight carrying approximately 280 passengers from Chennai to Abu Dhabi was cancelled on Tuesday after a fire was detected on the aircraft's left wing during take-off preparations.

Airport officials reported that the aircraft was preparing for departure when the pilots noticed the fire and immediately halted the process. All passengers were safely disembarked, and no injuries were reported, officials added.
