In a significant breakthrough, the Nuh police have arrested three individuals allegedly involved in cybercrime activities. The arrests were made during a special operation conducted by the cybercrime unit of the district police.
Details of the Arrests
The accused have been identified as residents of different areas, and their ages range between 22 and 30 years. They were apprehended from various locations in the district following a tip-off. The police have recovered several mobile phones, SIM cards, and other electronic devices from their possession.
Modus Operandi
According to the police, the gang used to dupe people by posing as bank officials and asking for their account details. They would then transfer money from the victims' accounts to their own. The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act.
The arrested individuals have been sent to judicial custody. Further investigation is underway to trace other members of the gang and their involvement in other cyber fraud cases.
