Noida International Airport Partners with Tech Mahindra for Advanced Cybersecurity
Noida Airport, Tech Mahindra Launch Integrated NOC-SOC

In a significant move to fortify its digital infrastructure, the upcoming Noida International Airport (NIA) has announced a strategic partnership with IT giant Tech Mahindra. The collaboration will establish a state-of-the-art, integrated Network and Security Operations Centre (NOC-SOC), placing cybersecurity and digital resilience at the very heart of the airport's operations from its inception.

Building a Future-Ready Digital Fortress

Under this partnership, Tech Mahindra will provide round-the-clock, 24x7 monitoring and management for the airport's critical IT backbone. This comprehensive oversight will encompass applications, databases, networks, servers, storage systems, and all associated digital platforms. The integrated NOC-SOC is engineered for the proactive detection, analysis, and swift response to any network or cybersecurity incidents. The primary objective is to ensure high availability, operational resilience, and robust security across all airport functions.

A Greenfield Advantage for Security

Christoph Schnellmann, Chief Executive Officer of Noida International Airport, highlighted the unique opportunity presented by the project's greenfield status. "We have the unique opportunity to embed resilience, security and operational excellence into our digital ecosystem from day one," Schnellmann stated. He emphasized that the partnership with Tech Mahindra is a critical step in constructing a robust, future-ready framework that will support safe, reliable, and seamless airport operations for millions of passengers.

Scale and Significance of the Jewar Airport Project

The Noida International Airport is being developed at Jewar in Uttar Pradesh under a public-private partnership model. The project is executed by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), a subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG. The ambitious development is planned in four phases:

  • Phase 1: Covers approximately 1,300 hectares and includes one runway and a terminal building.
  • Full Build-Out: Upon completion of all four phases, the airport will span nearly 5,000 hectares, making it India's largest airport by area.

With the first phase expected to become operational soon, the establishment of the integrated NOC-SOC marks a foundational investment in creating a digitally secure and efficient aviation hub for the National Capital Region and beyond.
