In a significant move to bolster India's maritime infrastructure against digital threats, the C3iHub at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT-K) successfully concluded a specialized two-day training program. The event was designed for officials from the Indian Ports Association (IPA) and took place at the institute's Noida Extension Centre.

Participants gained insights into social media threat profiling and dark web analysis, learning how adversaries gather intelligence and plan attacks. The training also covered advanced techniques in open-source intelligence (OSINT) investigations and suspect profiling.

The event saw participation from senior figures, highlighting its national significance. Arvind Bhisikar, Executive Director (IT) of the Indian Ports Association, was present. From IIT Kanpur, Director Manindra Agrawal graced the occasion. Representing the national security apparatus, Akhilesh Variar from the IPS National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Centre (NCIIPC), a unit of the National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO), attended. Tanima Hajra, CEO of C3iHub, was also present to oversee the proceedings.
