Patna: The Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) has released the admission schedule for its two-year MSc programme in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics (CSDF) for the academic session 2026-28. The announcement was made by Vice-Chancellor Faizan Mustafa on Tuesday.
Application and Selection Process
Candidates seeking admission to this course can apply online until June 7. The selection will be based on an entrance test followed by a personal interview. The entrance test comprises 50 multiple-choice questions worth 50 marks, covering computer literacy, cyber awareness, legal aptitude, and analytical reasoning.
The one-hour offline test will be conducted on the CNLU campus on June 13. Personal interviews, also worth 50 marks, will be held on June 13 and 14. Results will be announced on June 18, and classes for the first batch will commence on July 13. The total intake capacity is 60 students.
Career Opportunities and Collaborations
The academic programme is designed to prepare graduates for over 21 career roles across four distinct tracks: industry and judiciary, legal system and law enforcement, national security and policy, and governance. Mustafa highlighted that CNLU has signed Memorandums of Understanding with leading national and international organisations, including the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence (CCoE), Data Security Council of India (DSCI), Bihar Police, Palo Alto Networks, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and the Bihar Institute of Correctional Administration, among others.
State-of-the-Art Facilities
CNLU has established a NextGen Cyber Security and Digital Forensics Centre featuring a 60-seater high-end digital forensic lab to provide hands-on practical training to students, the VC added.
