Citroen Racing has officially signed French motorsport champion Doriane Pin as its new Development Driver, marking a significant addition to the team's future plans. Pin will make her first official appearance as a team member at the upcoming Monaco E-Prix double-header, which takes place this weekend.
Doriane Pin's impressive career achievements
Pin brings an outstanding track record to Citroen Racing. She won the Ferrari Challenge Europe title in 2022, claimed victory at the prestigious 24 Hours of Spa in the same year, and secured the F1 Academy title in 2025. In addition to her new role with Citroen, Pin also serves as a Development Driver for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team and is part of the Peugeot Sport Hypercar programme.
Announcement and reaction
Citroen Racing announced the news on social media on Wednesday. The official Instagram post from the team read: "New talent. New energy. New era. We're proud to welcome Doriane Pin as Citroen Racing's official GEN4 Development Driver. One of the most exciting young talents in French motorsport, Doriane joins the team as we continue building for the future of Formula E, supporting the development of our upcoming GEN4 package. Her first official appearance with Citroen Racing takes place this weekend at the Monaco E-Prix double-header."
Expressing her enthusiasm, Doriane Pin said: "I'm really looking forward to this new role and to joining this project. Formula E is a rapidly growing championship, and it's both exciting to watch and to drive. I've already started working on the GEN4 simulator with the team, which has been a great way of understanding the systems and the driving approach." She added: "As a French driver, it's a special feeling to join Citroen. It's a brand with a strong motorsport heritage, and being part of that story means a lot. I'm excited to get started and to build something together."
Team principal's praise
Citroen Racing Formula E Team Principal Cyril Blais shared words of praise for Pin, stating: "Doriane is one of the most promising and complete young drivers we have seen in recent years. Beyond her results, she brings strong technical insight and a clear ability to translate feedback into performance gains, which is critical in Formula E where we have limited development time. Her involvement in the refinement of our GEN4 package will be extremely valuable as we prepare for the future of the championship. Just as importantly, having a talented young French driver join the team is a proud moment for all of us."
In her new role, Doriane will assist the team with the development and refinement of its GEN4 package, among other responsibilities. This move underscores Citroen Racing's commitment to building a strong foundation for the future of Formula E.
