The National Testing Agency (NTA) has initiated a novel training programme titled 'Pariksha Karmayogi: Capacity-Building Programme for Examination Officials'. This initiative is designed to enhance the administration of national-level examinations across India.
Launch on iGOT Karmayogi Platform
The programme has been launched on the iGOT Karmayogi Bharat platform, focusing on equipping examination staff with the skills needed to ensure a smoother, safer, and more organized examination process.
Objective: Better Trained Exam Staff
Primarily targeting individuals responsible for managing and supervising exams, such as Centre Superintendents and Invigilators, this programme aims to train officials who play a crucial role in conducting exams like NEET (UG) and other national-level tests. The NTA emphasizes that the goal is to ensure examinations are conducted fairly and uniformly across all centers in the country.
Four Simple Modules for Comprehensive Training
The course is structured into four parts. The first module explains the role of exam officials and underscores the importance of fairness and transparency. The second module focuses on pre-exam preparation, including checking exam centers, security arrangements, and adherence to official rules. The third module details exam day procedures, covering activities from before students enter the hall to the end of the exam, including duties during the test. The fourth module serves as a quick guide, helping officials revise important instructions and rules efficiently.
Online Training with Certification
The programme is available online on the iGOT Karmayogi Bharat platform, allowing officials to learn at their own pace and take assessments to earn certification. This approach ensures that exam staff across the country receive consistent training and follow uniform standards.
Focus on Fair and Smooth Exams
The NTA introduced this programme to improve discipline and minimize errors during large-scale examinations. With millions of students appearing for these exams annually, proper supervision is critical. Through trained officials, the NTA aims to make exams more secure, fair, and well-managed.
Step Towards a Stronger Examination System
This initiative reflects the NTA's commitment to enhancing the examination system through training and technology. It seeks to build a more responsible and prepared workforce for handling national examinations in India.
