The National Testing Agency (NTA) has once again extended the application deadline for the UGC NET June 2026 examination. Initially set for May 20, the deadline was first pushed to May 23, and now further extended to May 24, 11:50 PM, following requests from students across the country.
Official Announcement
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the NTA stated, “Good news for UGC-NET June 2026 aspirants! NTA has extended the last date for application submission — responding to requests from students across the country.” The revised schedule provides applicants additional time to submit their forms and complete the fee payment process online.
How to Apply
Eligible candidates can apply through the official website: ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Officials have clarified that no further extension will be granted after the current deadline expires.
Correction Window
The correction window for submitted applications will open from May 26 to May 28, 2026, until 11:50 PM. During this period, candidates can edit permitted details in their application forms. Applicants are advised to carefully review all information before final submission to avoid discrepancies during the examination or admission process.

- General category: Rs 1,150
- OBC and EWS categories: Rs 600
- SC, ST, and PwD categories: Rs 325
