Noida International Airport (NIA) has appointed Nitu Samra as its interim Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Samra, who has been with the airport project since its inception, will oversee the development and operational readiness of the greenfield airport in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh.
Extensive Experience in Aviation
Samra brings over two decades of experience in airport management, having previously held leadership roles at Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) and other major Indian airports. Her expertise includes airport operations, passenger services, and project management.
Role and Responsibilities
As interim CEO, Samra will focus on completing the first phase of construction, which includes a single runway and a terminal building capable of handling 12 million passengers annually. The airport is expected to be operational by the end of 2024.
"I am honored to lead this transformative project for the National Capital Region. Our team is committed to delivering a world-class airport that sets new benchmarks in efficiency and passenger experience," Samra said in a statement.
