MGL Mega PNG Registration Camp in Sion on Sunday

Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) is organizing a Mega PNG Registration Camp in Sion to encourage households to adopt clean, safe, and convenient cooking fuel. The camp will be held at Mumbai Public School, Pratiksha Nagar in Sion from 11 am to 6 pm on Sunday. Residents can visit the venue at any time during the day and complete the registration process with ease, an official said.

Initiative to Promote PNG Adoption

The initiative is aimed at simplifying domestic PNG registrations and supporting residents in line with the recent central government mandate. At the camp, trained MGL staff will provide on-the-spot assistance, help with documentation, explain the connection procedure, and facilitate registrations for a smooth and hassle-free experience.

Benefits of the Camp

The camp is designed to make the onboarding process faster and more accessible, while ensuring that residents receive complete guidance at every step. Visitors will be able to understand the connection process clearly and complete their PNG registration at the venue itself. Residents of Pratiksha Nagar and neighboring areas in Sion can benefit from this special registration drive, an official added.

This camp is part of MGL's ongoing efforts to expand the use of piped natural gas (PNG) as a cleaner alternative to traditional cooking fuels. By providing doorstep registration services, MGL aims to increase the adoption of PNG in Mumbai, contributing to a reduction in air pollution and promoting sustainable energy use.

Residents are encouraged to bring necessary documents such as Aadhaar card, proof of residence, and a recent passport-sized photograph to facilitate quick registration. The camp will also feature informational materials and demonstrations to educate attendees about the safety and cost-effectiveness of PNG.

MGL officials emphasize that the camp is open to all residents of Sion and surrounding areas, and no prior appointment is required. The company plans to organize similar camps in other parts of Mumbai in the coming months to further boost PNG adoption.
