MUMBAI: The Central Railway, Mumbai Division will operate a megablock on its Main line between Thane and Kalyan today to carry out various engineering and maintenance works. On the Main Line, the block will be in effect on the Thane-Kalyan UP and Down fast lines from 10:40 am to 3:40 pm.
Main Line Diversions
Up Fast and Semi-fast services departing from Kalyan between 10:28 am and 3:40 pm will be diverted onto the UP Slow line between Kalyan and Thane stations. These trains will halt at Diva, Mumbra, and Kalva stations in addition to their scheduled stops. They will be re-diverted onto the UP Slow line at Mulund station and will arrive at their destination 10 minutes behind schedule.
Down Mail and Express trains leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) or Dadar will be diverted onto the 5th line between Thane and Kalyan stations. Similarly, UP Mail and Express trains arriving at CSMT or Dadar will be diverted onto the 6th line between Kalyan and Thane.
Harbour Line Block
A block will also be in place on the Up and Down Harbour lines between Panvel and Vashi stations (excluding the PORT line) from 11:05 am to 4:05 pm today.
Trans Harbour Line Section
UP Trans-harbour line services towards Thane departing from Panvel between 11:02 am and 3:53 pm, as well as Down Trans-harbour line services towards Panvel leaving Thane from 10:01 am to 3:20 pm, will remain cancelled during the block period.
Special local trains will be operated on the CSMT Mumbai–Vashi section during the block period. Trans-harbour line services will be available between Thane and Vashi/Nerul stations. PORT line services will remain operational throughout the block period.
