MUZAFFARPUR: Bihar Police on Saturday arrested four individuals for allegedly selling fake question papers of various examinations, including the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) (NEET-UG), to aspirants and their parents in Muzaffarpur.
The accused have been identified as Harsh, Aman Kumar, Kanhaiya Kumar, and Harsh Kanodiya. Three mobile phones were recovered from them, as reported by news agency PTI.
Police revealed that the arrested persons were operating a network that sold fake question papers through social media, misleading aspirants by claiming they could provide genuine papers. They allegedly sold these papers to desperate parents, duping them out of money.
Senior Superintendent of Police Kantesh Kumar Mishra said, “Based on information provided by Manish Jha, who was arrested on June 2 from the Balu Ghat area under Sikandarpur police station on similar charges, police arrested four of his associates on Saturday.”
“They collected money through online transfers into bank accounts and then passed the collected amount to Manish Jha,” the SSP added.
Further investigation in the case is underway, police stated.
