Amazon Launches Echo Dot Max and Echo Studio in India

Amazon has introduced two new Alexa-enabled smart speakers in India: the Echo Dot Max and the Echo Studio. These devices are designed to deliver premium audio experiences along with advanced smart home automation capabilities.

Echo Dot Max: Powerful Bass and Smart Home Hub

The Echo Dot Max is Amazon's most powerful Echo Dot to date, offering nearly three times the bass compared to the Echo Dot (5th Gen). It features the first-ever two-way speaker system in the Dot lineup, combining a high-excursion woofer for deep bass with a custom tweeter for crisp highs. The redesigned audio architecture doubles the air space, enhancing bass efficiency and delivering room-filling sound.

In addition to superior audio, the Echo Dot Max includes a built-in smart home hub that supports Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Thread, Matter, and Bluetooth. This allows users to control compatible smart devices directly without needing an additional hub.

Echo Studio: Immersive Spatial Audio

The Echo Studio delivers room-adapting spatial audio with Dolby Atmos, creating an immersive surround sound experience. It features a compact spherical design with 3D knit fabric for acoustic transparency, a powerful woofer, and three full-range drivers strategically placed to fill the room with clarity and depth.

Pricing and Availability

The Echo Dot Max is priced at Rs 10,999 and comes in Graphite, Amethyst, and Glacier White color options. The Echo Studio is priced at Rs 23,999 and is available in Graphite and Glacier White. Both devices are available on Amazon.in and Flipkart. Prime members can enjoy 5% cashback via Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit cards and free delivery across India.

Advanced Features and Performance

Both speakers are powered by Amazon's AZ3 custom silicon for faster performance and improved Alexa responsiveness. They also feature Omnisense technology, which uses sensors to detect presence, motion, and temperature, enabling proactive smart home routines. Users can create routines such as turning on lights when someone enters a room or adjusting the thermostat based on temperature changes.

Privacy and Smart Home Integration

The Echo Dot Max and Echo Studio come with multiple privacy layers, including microphone on/off controls and the ability to delete voice recordings via the Alexa app. Customers can use Alexa to play music, manage smart appliances, set reminders, or build a home theatre setup by pairing up to five devices with Fire TV sticks.
